How to Become a Sperm Donor and earn Money

Pass the screening to become a sperm donorIf you want to become a sperm donor you’ll need to pass their quite rigorous screening process.  To become a sperm donor most sperm banks have a set series of qualifications that you must meet in order to be considered.  Once you do become a sperm donor though you’ll be able to make money quite often, some sperm donors can make thousands of dollars a year!

First off do a search for local sperm banks.  There’s no rule that you can’t become a sperm donor at several sperm banks.  This is a good thing to do since they will almost always have varying payment schedules.  The best sperm banks will of course pay you the most but have the highest standards so be prepared for a long screening process.

The most common requirements to become a sperm donor

Here’s a list of the more standard requirements

  • Height of at least 5′ 9″ Most moms want tall donors
  • You should be between 18 and 40 years old. It seems most sperm banks want donations from younger men
  • Don’t be overweight; your weight should be proportionate to your height
  • You should be well educated, in fact the more education you have the better
  • You should not be adopted.  For most places this is a deal killer
  • You should be able to provide a sample 4-6 times a month for 6 months for screening
  • You should have no diseases such as hepatitis, HIV, Herpes or any other disease that can have any effect on the child

Once you’ve found a local sperm bank and feel, based on the above list that you have what it takes to become a sperm donor you should call the sperm bank, usually they will pre screen you right over the phone, if you pass they’ll invite you down to fill out some paperwork and perhaps leave a sample.

To become a sperm donor your sample will be tested for count, motility, freeze-ability and deformity.  If they pass this you’ll be invited back again for more testing.

This round you’ll probably get a blood test and a urine test, and yes, you’ll leave another sample.

Keep in mind to become a sperm donor you’re samples must be good and you must also be tested for STD s, genetic problems, drugs and diseases.  Passing all of these and the sperm bank will more than likely offer you to become a sperm donor.

Although every sperm bank is different generally once you become a sperm donor you’ll be required to leave 1 or 2 deposits a week for about 6 months.  If you agree to this you can start making money in as little as a week or two.
